I work with people who are ready to make a real change
Ready for a career change?
A twelve-week partnership to help you get there
You've built a successful career. But something has shifted — and the idea of doing the same thing for another ten years doesn't sit right anymore.
The Career Transition Partnership is a twelve-week, one-to-one programme designed for people in their 30s, 40s and 50s who are ready to make a real change — not just think about one.
Together we'll get clear on what you actually want, build a plan that reflects your values and ambitions, and make sure you step into what's next with confidence rather than doubt.
I'm Nicky Gray a career coach, leadership coach and trusted sounding board based in London, working with clients across the UK and worldwide.
With over 20 years leading global teams and building purposeful cultures, I understand what it takes to make meaningful change — whether that's in your career, your leadership or your organisation.
I work with three groups of people:
Individuals looking for career change support — professionals in their 30s, 40s and 50s who are ready to move into something new but aren't sure what that looks like yet.
Leaders and managers — people who want to lead with more confidence, clarity and purpose, whether one-to-one or through group leadership development sessions.
Organisations and senior teams — businesses that want to build a company purpose and culture that genuinely motivates and connects people.
I work with people I believe in — and who are ready to make the choices that matter. In a world full of options, I help you make the ones that make you happy.
If you're ready to make a change, I'd love to hear from you.

Services tailored to you
Building your personal purpose
My career coaching approach is personalised and flexible, designed around your unique situation and aspirations. Rather than following a set programme, we work on the career challenges and decisions that are most relevant to you, whether that’s changing careers, finding direction, building confidence, or identifying your strengths.
This ensures the coaching is effective at any stage of your career — from early-career professionals considering a change, to established leaders ready for something new.
Leadership skills development
Coaching for new managers and experienced leaders, designed to help you lead with purpose and confidence.
Whether you’re developing your own leadership skills one-to-one or building a stronger team culture through group sessions, I’ll help you grow into the leader you want to be with practical tools, open discussion, and clear, purposeful support every step of the way.
Company purpose and culture building
I help organisations build their own Company Purpose to build culture and focus within their organisation.
We spend an initial two days working with a small group of the most senior leaders to build a unique and powerful company purpose and then we work on a plan to gain buy-in and momentum.
This is a bespoke approach to each organisation, but usually takes around three follow up days after the initial two day session.
“The key to co-creating purpose is finding the right language. Revolution begins with language. When you find the right language, you change everything in an instant.
Purpose demands emotional depth because emotion leads to action. What is the idea that will unleash the organisation? Purposing surfaces the language.”

Frequently asked questions

Career coaching is a structured, one-to-one process that helps you gain clarity on what you want from your career and create a practical plan to get there. It's particularly valuable if you're feeling stuck, considering a career change, or navigating a significant professional transition. Rather than telling you what to do, a good career coach helps you uncover what you already know — and gives you the tools and confidence to act on it.
-
Career coaching focuses on your individual career path — helping you find direction, make a change, or move into a new chapter with clarity and purpose. Leadership coaching focuses on how you lead — developing the skills, mindset and confidence to manage and inspire others more effectively. Many clients find that the two overlap, because how you lead is often deeply connected to what you value and where you want to go.

I work with three groups of people: individuals — usually professionals in their 30s, 40s and 50s — who are ready for a career change or want to find more meaning and direction in their work; leaders and managers who want to develop their leadership skills and build stronger, more purposeful teams; and organisations that want to create a company purpose and culture that genuinely connects and motivates people. All of my work is tailored — there is no one-size-fits-all process here.

Two things set my work apart. First, everything starts with purpose — not your CV, not your job title, but what actually drives you and what you want your working life to look like. Second, I bring over 20 years of real-world experience leading global teams and shaping cultures at some of the world's most respected organisations. I've done the work myself. That experience means I understand the complexity of senior careers in a way that a coach without that background simply can't.

The first call is a relaxed, no-obligation conversation — usually around 30 minutes. We'll talk about where you are right now, what you're hoping to change or achieve, and how I work. It's as much a chance for you to get a feel for me as it is for me to understand your situation. If it feels like a good fit for both of us, we'll talk about next steps. If it doesn't, I'll do my best to point you in the right direction.
